I have had a long-standing interest in magnetic monopoles ranging from astrophysical bounds on the possible abundance of magnetic monopoles in nature to monopole catalysis of baryon number violation to their role as instantons in three-dimensional gauge theory to the formal properties of magnetic monopoles in supersymmetric field theories and string theories.
