Neutrino Physics
I did early work on neutrino masses and mixings in a SO(10) grand unified model, studied the cosmological implications of and production mechanisms for a nonzero lepton number, and more recently investigated Standard Model explanations related to anomalous Wess-Zumino-Witten couplings for the excess of low-energy neutrino events seen in the MiniBoone experiment. It is interesting that the SO(10) model of HRR predicted maximal mixing between muon and tau neutrinos, an idea that ran against some theoretical prejudices but was later found to be true experimentally.
